Pranayama

If you can change your breath,You can change your world. Breathing is not just to stay alive, but to experience life while you live.

Pranayama is one of the 8 limbs of yoga. Prana means life force and yama means to control.

Breathing a deep, controlled breath is the best way to help the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for relaxation/calm. It also helps to calm the frequency of which thoughts pass through the mind. You can see more clearly in calm waters than murky.

There are many different ways to breathe! Most common breathing techniques are the 3-part breath, alternating nostril breath, ocean breath and box breathing.

Learn how to do each with a breakdown and a deeper understanding.
